Ukrainian software developers are among the most active ones on GitHub

The developer platform GitHub has released the 2018 Octoverse report. It contains a lot of data on the work of the platform: the number of participants, the number of projects, the most popular technologies and programming languages. In particular, the study provides a ranking of countries with the largest number of contributors.
Ukraine is listed in the top 20 countries with the largest number of GitHub contributors. The graph shows that the number of Ukrainian software developers who use GitHub in their work and for their projects has increased significantly in recent years. United States and China got into the first places of the rating, which is predictable.
We recall that according to the latest DOU study, a typical Ukrainian software developer is a guy aged from 21 to 29 years old, who has a higher education, lives in Kyiv, and works in outsourcing.
