The green tariff was approved for Nikopol SPP, it will be connected to the power system in March. This is one of the largest SPP in Europe

The National Commission, carrying out state regulation in the fields of energy and utilities of Ukraine (NKREKU), approved the establishment of a “green” tariff for Nikopol SPP. It will be 15.03 euros per MWh until 2030, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

The station plans to connect to the energy system in March. It is assumed that Nikopol SPP will produce up to 290 million kWh of electricity per year. In this way, it can fully meet the needs of 100,000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 300,000 tons per year.

Nikopol SPP is the largest in Ukraine and one of the largest in Europe. It was built by the Solar-Farm-1 company, which is owned by DTEK, together with the China Machinery Engineering Corporation of China. The station started operating in mid-January 2019.
