Ukrainian Nick Bilogorskiy becomes the new director of security at Google

Nick Bilogorskiy, an investor from Ukraine, announced that he now is the new director on Trust and Safety team at Google.

“Excited to join my great Googler friends and to work with the legendary security VP Kristie Canegallo who served on the National Security Council staff under President Bush and Obama, and was Obama’s deputy chief of staff. I promise to fight for safer and more secure Internet for everyone,” Bilogorskiy wrote.

In the comment to AIN.UA, he confirmed that this is the full-time employment, but did not comment on his appointment citing restrictions, as well as he did not specify whether he would continue his investing activities.

Nick Bilogorskiy was born in Kharkiv, but after school, he moved to Canada and later to the United States. Bilogorskiy worked as chief malware expert at Facebook but left the company in order to join Cyphort as a co-founder. Later the company was bought by Juniper. He is also an investor and has several Ukrainian projects in his portfolio: Petcube, Rallyware, Capitan, Ecoisme.
