Ukraine ranks 64th in Doing Business 2020

Ukraine has improved 7 positions and is ranked 64th in the international ranking Doing Business 2020. It is annually compiled by the World Bank and includes 190 countries.

6 out of 10 key indicators were improved in Ukraine. The key reforms include the following:

Dealing with Construction Permits: Ukraine now has no requirement to hire an independent designer and technical supervision engineer, as well as launched an online notification system and reduced the cost of construction permits within Kyiv.

Getting Electricity: Ukraine implemented a geographic information system and improved the reliability of power supply by introducing an outage compensation mechanism.

Registering Property: Ukraine made registering property easier by increasing the transparency of the land administration system.

Getting Credit: Ukraine established a new public credit registry in the National Bank of Ukraine.

Protecting Minority Investors: Ukraine strengthened minority investor protections by requiring greater disclosure of transactions with interested parties.

Trading across Borders: Ukraine simplified conformity certification requirements for auto parts.
