Your KAYA eco-friendly feminine hygiene brand receives over $1.2M

Polish startup Your KAYA that is selling eco-friendly feminine hygiene products has attracted over $1.2 million from three investors – early-stage bValue fund, governmental DFRI fund and private investor Rafał Brzoska, writes MamStartup.

Your KAYA brand was established in 2017 on the initiative of Kaja Rybicka and Marek Gut. With an idea of developing a business based on a subscription model, founders discovered that there were no ecological products on the feminine intimate care market. They decided to fill this specific niche and created an online store with a possibility to personalize every customer’s order.

“Our products are made from 100% organic certified cotton. They are not bleached with chlorine and do not contain toxins, synthetic additives, dyes and fragrance ingredients,” explains Gut, the CEO of the company.

According to investors, Your KAYA company has a huge potential because of its innovative and ecological products and a completely new business model – a subscription for basic necessities. Moreover, the communication of the brand, which is not afraid to raise topics that are still taboo in Poland, is also had an influence on the decision of investors. 

The startup is planning to invest the raised funds in maintaining the dynamics of sales growth, entering the markets of Western Europe – France, Germany and Spain and expanding the product portfolio.
