Profile: Practica Capital — Lithuanian VC Fund

AIN.TECH conducted a series of interviews with the most active Lithuanian VC funds. It is aimed to give the startups full information about the ecosystem of the country, as well as to make it easier for them to find the appropriate fund for further cooperation.

This time we prepared a short article about Practica Capital VC fund.

When the fund was launched?

Our latest fund was launched in 2019. 

What is your investment focus?

Practica Capital is a dedicated Baltic VC focusing on early-stage tech investments in the Baltic (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) and Baltic-origin (e.g. Baltic diaspora, other Baltic links) ventures in Europe. Selectively, we also invest in neighboring Europe (Nordics, Germany, Poland, Eastern neighbors). We have experience investing in AI & ML, Robotics, Mobility, Marketplaces&Platforms, Medtech and hardware, SaaS, Fintech, Spacetech, and some other verticals.

What is the average investment amount?

We invest from €200K to €2M+ in seed, early-stage ventures as a cross-industrial investor focused on backing great teams behind the tech-driven businesses from the region. Usually, start with ~500k tickets. 

How many deals does the fund make per year?

We do around 7-10 new deal per year

Does the fund invest only in Lithuanian startups or in foreign projects too?

We invest in the Baltic (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) and Baltic-origin ventures in Europe. Selectively, we also invest in neighboring Europe (Nordics, Germany, Poland, Eastern neighbors).

What does the fund offer except the investments?

We are an active investor and try to lead or co-lead, also ready to be active in follow-on rounds. Can syndicate and pool rounds. We have specific operational know-how and experience in some verticals and are ready to be involved in certain strategic issues.
