Xbox services officially launch in Ukraine

Microsoft has signed a memorandum with the government of Ukraine on the development of the Ukrainian IT industry. One of its points: the official launch of the game console Xbox and its services.

• Now players from Ukraine can buy a console, but can’t register an account in their region, and choose other countries for this purpose.
• But the official launch of Xbox services will allow them to choose Ukraine as their region of residence, pay for games in the national currency, and get the Ukrainian interface.

“There are preliminary agreements on the launch of Xbox, but it is too early to speak of the terms. We hope to be able to launch it by the end of this year,” Oleksandr Bornyakov, the Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, explains to AIN.UA.
