Estonian startup Eziil raises $1.4 million

Viljandi-based Eziil, an industrial software startup, has raised $1.4M from private investors and the Estonian state economic development agency, which promoting foreign investments in Estonia and assisting international companies in finding business opportunities in Estonia. Several investors and grants contributed to the recent $1.4M funding round, including a $410K investment from Lemonade Stand, Thorgate Ventures with participation from business angels.

Founded in 2015 by CEO Maido Janke, CPO Kaido Karu, and CTO Tiit Remmel, Eziil is a production management software for factories. The startup is aimed to stop inefficiencies in the manufacturing space by automating and visualizing big data. 

The company is working together with companies from many different industries to improve manufacturing. Eziil Production Intelligence plans to use the raised investment to develop the product, specifically digitize factories with real-time production management software. To date, the startup has launched the Eziil MasterClass, where people are trained to digitalize their production in a week. 

Veiko Saluste, the managing director of Interchemie and customer of Eziil, said:

“The benefit of Eziil is that it doesn’t matter what device or operating system it is used. Eziil is automatically compatible. It can also easily be integrated into other machine languages. I am interested in the fact that data can be easily moved, copied, found, and added.”
