French BeautyTech startup 4.5.6 Skin raises $825K in seed funding

4.5.6. Skin, a beauty tech startup, has raised $825K in a seed round. The round was led by Be Angels and French entrepreneurs, including Fotolia and eFounders  Thibaud Elziere, Julien Romanetto, and Frédéric Montagnon and Benoit Koerperich. 

4.5.6 is an independent company founded in France at the heart of the French Cosmetic valley in 2018 by CEO Noelly Michoux, R&D Director lImen Jerbi Azaiez, Medical skin expert Carlos A. Charles and COO Nicolas Vincent. 4.5.6. Skin is a beautytech startup catering to skin phototypes IV, V, and VI otherwise known as melanin-rich skin. The startup`s mission is to offer unique skincare, backed by science, and addressing the gap in the global beauty market for non-caucasian skins.

The company is planning to use the funds to further invest in R&D including testing, and production, and recruit sales and customer care specialists. To date, 4.5.6 meets the needs of about 46 million women with the highest level of phototype between the ages of 18 and 35 in the global market, which is estimated at about $28 billion.
