Founded in 2019 by Philippe Humeau, Thibault Koechlin and Laurent Soubrevilla, CrowdSec develops an open source cybersecurity automation platform that is used to analyze IP address behavior, identify threats, and share them with the community. The startup is aimed to become the security component deployed on any code, service, or object exposed on the Internet.

The raised fund will be used to continue developing its user community and extend its functionalities. In 2021, the startup wants to launch a premium offer to allow companies to access the reputation database of IP addresses via API access. Nowadays, CrowdSec community members come from 40+ countries across all 6 continents.
