Finnish startup ReceiptHero receives $2.4 million from the Nordic’s top investors

Finland-based ReceiptHero, an API platform that delivers receipts from merchants to the banking apps, has raised $2.4 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Lifeline Ventures – an iconic early-stage venture fund, Superhero Capital – the other well known Nordic & Baltic early-stage fund and Vidici Ventures – the leader in fintech growth investments in the Nordic region.

Founded in 2018 and led by CEO Joel Ojala, ReceiptHero is a fintech startup building a fully digitalized receipt platform where merchants, banks, and customers can consume receipt data. The company integrates into point of sale systems and payment solutions to build digital receipts, which are then passed into accounting software and banking apps. ReceiptHero`s mission is to work with everyone in the ecosystem to make sure that the platform is a win-win for all participants.

The funding round enables the company to move more effectively in all of the areas that are key to making digital receipts a mass adopted solution. ReceiptHero will continue the development of its platform. To date, they are on a path of creating and launching value-added services on top of the data so that merchants can see even more value by distributing their receipts to customers.
