Launched in 2019 by co-CEOs Katrin Alberding and Clemens Raemy, and CTO Bruno Pires, Kenbi develops a platform and an app that help to organize local self-managed care teams, which provide outpatient, at-home professional care services including insurance authorized and covered medical care, household help, basic, palliative, and wound care, advice, and companionship.

Using technologies, the startup wants to make the nurse job more attractive, as there is a shortage of caregivers in the German care system. With Kenbi, 400 patients are already provided with the necessary care across the country. The proceeds will help the company to grow its care teams, automate back-office processes, and further develop its app.
