Estonian startup EyeVi Technologies closes $2M seed round for mapping technology

Estonia-based EyeVi Technologies has raise $2 million in a seed round for its mapping technology. ff Venture Capital led the round, ArcticStartup reports.

  • Founded in 2020 by Gaspar Anton, EyeVi develops an AI-powered platform for geospatial data production, as well as mobile mapping.
  • Leading investor ff Venture Capital is a New York-based VC firm that specializes in seed-stage and early-stage funding for tech companies. The firm has backed companies including Parse.ly, Indiegogo, Livefyre, Klout, and 500px.
  • Other investors include RKKVC, Decacorn Capital, Iron Wolf Capital, Superangel, Spring Capital, Kaamos Group, and several Estonian business angels.

“Road surveying technologies used today are either outdated or prohibitively expensive, which means that preventative maintenance is out of reach for most vendors. With advanced geospatial mapping and predictive data analytics, we can create the perfect conditions for smarter budget allocation,”

Gaspar Anton, the EyeVi’s founder and CEO, talks about the startup.
  • Using the fresh funding, EyeVi Technologies will be able to strengthen the current hold in the European market. This investment will also enable EyeVi to reach new markets, especially in the United States.
