NBU opens a special fundraising account to support the Ukrainian army

The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to open a special fundraising account to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported on the official website of the NBU.

The decision was taken due to the introduction of martial law in Ukraine in response to armed aggression by Russia and the renewed threat to Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity, the NBU said.

The Head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Kyrylo Shevchenko, announced the opening of this special account on the morning of February 24.

This account accepts multiple currencies. It has been opened to receive transfers from international partners and contributors in foreign currencies (US dollars, euros, UK pounds) and hryvnias.
