Book Salon, Finland’s beauty salon software developer, raises €3M in funding

Book Salon, a Helsinki-based SaaS startup, has raised €3 million in funding. Joint Effects led the round, existing investor Big Bets VC also participated, ArcticStartup reports.

  • Founded in 2016 by Harri Myllyla and Jonne Castren, Book Salon is a Finnish payment and booking service provider specializing in hair, beauty, and wellness companies.
  • The system enables users to manage their appointments and working hours. It fully automates payment processing, as well as changes in schedules of the users. It also allows working hours discussion with other salon entrepreneurs.

  • The company already has over 1,500 salons using its software. Book Salon targets to attract more European salons that don’t even have access to any digital management system.
  • Book Salon is planning to use the fresh funds to expand to the Nordics, the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Italy.
