Feed the Zoo: Volunteers create a platform to donate to Ukraine’s zoos during the war

Ukrainian volunteers have created a platform to donate to zoos and eco-parks in need of help during the war. On the website Feed the Zoo, you can buy a ticket and support both private and public organizations.

“Ukrainian zoos are closed because of war. We can’t visit animals yet, but we can help raise money to feed them,” says the Feed the Zoo homepage.

The developers of the platform gathered zoos and eco-parks from all over Ukraine. Among them are organizations in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Cherkasy, Dnipro, and others. Each profile of the zoo or eco-park has a brief description, links to social media, and a ticket price. To help the organization, click Donate or Buy a ticket.

Besides donations to zoos and eco-parks, the platform has also compiled a list of animal charities.

According to the project’s developers, Feed the Zoo is a private initiative and charges no commissions or fees. All links on the site are from public sources. Details for donations are publicly available and posted by the organizations.
