Kyiv is still in danger due to a possible strike with tactical nuclear weapons

At the end of March, russian troops withdrew from the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. This was a relief for Kyiv: the enemy troops were actually 20 km from the capital. The active front of hostilities was moved to the east and south of Ukraine. However, for a long time, the Ukrainian command stated that there was still a chance that russian troops would return to active operations in the north. It all depends on success on other fronts.

Today, the main danger is rocket fire. This was stated by both representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Pentagon. Moreover, if earlier the russian federation aimed at military facilities in Kyiv, now their purpose may change – the missiles will be aimed at “decision-making centers”. Moreover, the Pentagon urges to take seriously the allegations that russia, despite the massive shelling, can use tactical nuclear weapons because of the inability to achieve at least some visible results on each of the fronts. At the same time, President putin really wants to show a TV picture until May 9, so that the people can see the “great victories”. According to unverified data, this is why they may return to the idea of shelling Kyiv.

Kyiv authorities are asking locals not to rush back to the city, but this is not working: more than 30,000 refugees are returning to Ukraine every day, and more than 800,000 have already arrived from abroad. There are big traffic jams at the entrance to Kyiv because of the returning people. Despite all the government’s messages, the capital is opening restaurants, shops, launching services. Cities near the capital, such as Irpin and Bucha, are clearing streets, restoring energy and gas supplies, and rebuilding bridges.

“Moscow” has already sunk

The cruiser “Moscow”, despite the controversial information, sank. After two strikes by Neptune missiles, it was towed to Sevastopol, but due to significant damage and storm, the ship sank. According to various estimates, most of the crew died. One of the important questions is whether there were nuclear warheads in Moscow. The Kremlin has not officially commented on the issue, other parties have refrained from making statements. “Moscow” is estimated at $ 750 million, the ship was built for three years, for russia this is the biggest and most expensive loss since the beginning of the war. In russia there were only three such ships, now there are two and both – on other borders. It is symbolic that the ship was built in Mykolaiv.
