Vercom acquires Lithuanian marketing automation startup MailerLite for $90M

Vercom, Europe’s leading provider of Communication Platform-as-a-Service (CPaaS), has acquired a Lithuanian marketing automation platform MailerLite. The $90 million acquisition became one of the largest deals in Europe this year, Startup Lithuania reports.

  • Founded in 2010 by Eimantas Norkunas and Ignas Rubežius, MailerLite provides easy-to-use marketing tools. It allows users to create personalized online marketing campaigns without coding.
  • MailerLite operates in the US and Western Europe. The company has over 1.4 million users in 180 markets. It is an entirely remote company that employs around 100 people from over 30 international locations.

“Vercom and MailerLite are connected by similar values. By combining Vercom’s infrastructure know-how and scalability with MailerLite’s digital marketing tools, we will achieve even higher deliverability and efficiency,”

CEO of Vercom Krzysztof Szyszka comments on the acquisition.
  • Vercom is a Polish cloud communications platform provider that has been operating since 2005. It enables companies to develop relationships with recipients through multiple channels. With the acquisition of MailerLite, Vercom will join global CPaaS market leaders like Twilio and Sinch.
  • Together, MailerLite and Vercom will become the go-to platform for all of a business’s external communications, including email, Chat, SMS, voice, and Push notifications.
