“Be Brave Like Ukraine”: free online course about Ukraine, its history, and culture

The online university Choice31, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, creative agency Banda, and experts in history, culture, theology, business, and political science, has developed the interactive course “Be Brave Like Ukraine.” It is about how Ukrainian identity and courage were formed.

About the course

This educational product has become a logical continuation of the international advertising campaign “Be Brave Like Ukraine.” The course consists of 15 brief lessons about culture, geography, history, and business that illustrate the formation of the country. It is available in English and Ukrainian.

“People (around the Globe – editor) now associate us (Ukrainians – editor) with courage, but they donʼt know that our nation has always been this way. From Kyivan Rus to Zaporizhzhya Sich. From the dissident movement to the Revolution of Dignity. Be Brave Like Ukraine online course is a great opportunity to learn more about our nation,”

said Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

Why is it interesting?

With the outbreak of a full-scale war in Ukraine started by russia, people worldwide have become more interested in Ukraine and its history. Similar trends can be seen among Ukrainians, too: they seek to “fill the gaps” in their knowledge about their state. That is why the course is available in English and Ukrainian.

Be Brave Like Ukraine” is a kind of virtual journey through Ukraine. It will be most interesting for those who feel a lack of knowledge about this country as well as for a more “advanced” audience to help them remember what they have already forgotten and structure their knowledge.

This course is also a tool against russian state propaganda, which is widely spread throughout the world and is a very dangerous weapon on the information front. So, take the course to better understand what Ukrainians are fighting for and why compromise with russia will never be the solution.

“A person who completes this course will never again be influenced by imperial propaganda with narratives that devalue Ukraine,”

said Artem Borodatyuk, founder of the Netpeak Group.
