Polish startup ReadyCode raises €310k to expand to the US

The Warsaw-based software startup ReadyCode has raised €310k (1.5 million PLN) for its advanced game modding tool. SpeedUp Bridge Alfa and OverWolf joined the efforts to fuel the startup’s expansion to the US, MamStartup reports.

  • Founded in 2021 by Julek Kopczewski and Marcin Tchórzewski, ReadyCode develops a tool for advanced modding and scripting games with hot reloading support. The tool adds simple and intuitive modability, which allows creating new assets, features, or maps to games.

“We create technologies significantly reducing the time needed to introduce modifications to the game mechanics. This can significantly extend the monetization of gaming projects in general. We develop middleware technology that integrates with popular game engines such as Unity,”

Julek Kopczewski, co-founder and CTO at ReadyCode, explains the startup.
  • The SpeedUp Bridge Alfa fund, a part of SpeedUp Group, provided the majority of the funding. The Israeli giant in the gaming industry OverWolf, which has 20 million players using its technology, also supported the round.
  • Thanks to the fresh funding, ReadyCode plans to expand its team with key people. The positions include a Head of Sales, a Senior Game Developer Unity/C#, a Senior Software Engineer C#/C++, a Software Engineer Compiler, and Language Design.
