Estonian healthcare startup Salu raises €350k in a pre-seed round

The Tallinn-based digital healthcare startup Salu has raised €350,000 in a pre-seed round for the product development and global expansion. The investment was led by Krokodilli Kapital, the company informed AIN.Capital.

  • Founded in 2022 by Andreas Kotsjuba, Salu develops a healthcare platform aimed at digital nomads. It offers monthly packages that include consultations with a doctor, opening a sick leave, renewing prescription drugs, issuing referrals. The platform also offers in-person appointments in clinic.
  • Salu’s focus is to offer digital nomads an alternative to a family doctor. As the startups says, employees of Bolt, Wise, and Yolo Group are among its customers. To date, it also has collaboration with TalTech, Jobbatica, ReloEst, MoveMyTalent, and others.

“Within a short few months, we have proven that our service is essential for people who have moved to Estonia from a foreign country. Our rapidly growing number of users, as well as several collaborations with well-known startups and companies that are specializing in employee relocation – are a clear indication of that,”

CEO and co-founder of Salu Andreas Kotsjuba said.
  • The fresh round was led by Talinn-based VC fund Krokodilli Kapital, that focuses on the areas of person’s health, skills and abilities, optimal use of resources.
  • Salu will spend the fresh capital for product development, expansion into foreign countries, and increasing market position.
