Finnish API Portals-as-a-Servise startup Apiable raises $500k in a pre-seed round

The Helsinki-based no-code API Portals-as-a-Service platform Apiable has raised $500,000 in a pre-seed round to scale its operations. The round was led by Icebreaker.vc.

  • Founded in 2020 by Alexander Schamne and Allan Knabe, in partnership with cycling insurance provider Bikmo, Apiable develops the API portal that enables organizations to open new revenue streams by creating digital connections quickly and without the huge development costs.
  • The no-code approach of Apiable helps customers to set up their own branded API portal in less than 60 minutes and focus on growing their business, as the startup claims.
  • The fresh round was led by one of the most active Finland’s Icebreaker.vc, that targets on backing early-stage companies in Finland, Sweden and Estonia. Icebreaker invests €150,000-€800,000 in teams with deep domain expertise and ambition to build the world’s strongest tech companies.

“The Apiable team has deep expertise in building API portals, and we see the need for APIs proliferating through most companies, even ones you couldn’t imagine,”

Riku Seppala, general partner at Icebreaker.vc comments.
  • The funding will help Apiable to scale its internal operations, and to meet “latent demand” for its no-code API Portals-as-a-Service platform.
