Polish startup Restimo raises €255k to develop its platform RestHub

Warsaw-based startup Restimo has raised €255,000 (1.2 million PLN) to develop its platform for catering industry RestHub. EIT Digital joined angel investors Małgorzata Sitkowska, Nicolas Jedraszak, and Michał Zawiasa to support the company, MamStartup informs.

  • Founded in 2019, Restimo develop a solution to enable restaurant guests to pay for their meals on their own. Thus, the platform enhances the satisfaction of staying in the premises, increases the table rotation, and reduces the load on the waiter service.
  • Already, the company serves such restaurant chains as North Fish, Makarun, Charlotte, and many others. In Poland alone, it is present in over 25 cities. Currently, Restimo is working on partnerships with all leading food ordering apps in the CEE region.

“While working at the Glovo headquarters in Barcelona, I noticed how challenging it is for restaurants to handle multiple tablets. Order management, menu updates or reporting separately for each application used to take the waiter many additional hours and even days of work per month. We have simplified it to a few seconds,”

Arek Bielecki, co-founder of Restimo, comments.
  • The Belgian EIT Digital fund, a previous investor in the company, now joined the group of business angels for another round. The list of private investors includes Małgorzata Sitkowska and Nicolas Jedraszak (founders of Daily), and Michał Zawiasa (founder of Glodny.pl) — foodtech experts and business owners.
  • The fresh funds will allow Restimo to further develop its product, increasing the sales, customer service team, and marketing activities. The company is also preparing for foreign expansion, targeting the entire region of Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Scandinavia.
