Polish metaverse company Immersion raises over $1M from iFIT

Immersion, a Warsaw-based metaverse company, has raised over$1 million during a funding round from its long-term American fitness partner iFIT. The company will use the funds to further develop its product offer, MamStartup reports.

  • Founded in 2014 by Piotr Baczyński, Immersion is an XR studio and technology company in the field of virtual and augmented reality. Its mission is to solve real problems through the use of all existing virtual reality platforms. The company already cooperated with hundreds of worldwide companies, including Meta, Google, HBO, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Toyota, and many others.

“Fitness is an area where VR and AR bring a lot of practical and useful innovations, turning seemingly boring exercises into interactive adventures. The result is a new type of entertainment, a sort of games that make us healthier. The investment from iFIT brings resources and know-how that will help us build interactive fitness solutions,”

Piotr Baczyński, founder and CEO of Immersion, comments.
  • iFIT is the main investor in the company. It is the largest manufacturer of fitness equipment in the USA and the owner of a platform with several million users. Both companies cooperated earlier on the development of software for the NordicTrack VR Bike, a combination of a fitness bike and VR goggles.
  • Immersion will use the fresh funds to further develop its own products and proprietary technologies.
