Polish tattoo startup INKsearch raises €200k in a funding round

Wroclaw-based startup INKsearch has raised €200,000 in a funding round led by the local EKIPA Investments fund and Startup Wise Guys. The funding will allow developing the tattoo platform on the Italian market, MamStartup reports.

• Founded in 2018 by Mat Lagowski and Sławomir Chojnicki, INKsearch develops a platform enabling tattoo enthusiasts to find the right tattoo for themselves, as well as the artist. The startup uses a recommendation system based, among others, on the inspirations of other users and several AI algorithms.
• EKIPA Investments and Startup Wise Guys provided the funding. EKIPA is a Polish VC fund investing around €50,000 to €200,000 in pre-seed and seed startups. Startup Wise Guys is one of the most active early stage investors in the broader CEE region and Nordics.
• This round follows a previous investment round closed in June 2022. Startup Wise Guys was the lead investor at the time. Other pre-seed backers of the startup include Czysta3.vc and KnowledgeHub.
• The fresh funding will help the INKsearch team to further develop its platform and gain footing on the Italian market.
