Estonian sTARTUp Day 2023 announces a three-day business festival for Baltic startups

sTARTUp Day 2023 was announced last week to apply to sTARTUp Pitching contest with a prize pool of €350,000. The aim is to connect like-minded people and celebrate entrepreneurship.

  • sTARTUp Day 2023 is a three-day business festival with an educational program consisting of various topics – from mental health to space tech, founder stories to aviation, and deeptech to the creative economy. The festival is looking for early-stage to scale-up startups who have a strong mission, a scalable business model, a functioning product with traction/feedback, and are ready for an investment.
  • Startups can apply to the festival by February 5, 2023. The 7th edition of the sTARTUp Day festival will be held on 15-17 March 2023 in Tartu. The top 40 selected startups will have 3 minutes for the pitch and 2 minutes for the questions. The working language is English. Slides are strongly recommended.
  • sTARTUp Day 2023 enables startups to show themselves in front of over 3900 attendees from all over the world: potential investors, clients, partners, and international media. In addition to visibility, the best startups will be listed among the best in the region and awarded prizes. To date, Tartu Science Park is giving three months of hot desk membership for three people from the winning startup in their S2B Work Space in the Delta Business Building.
  • Estonian Business Angels Network is putting together an angel syndicate to invest up to €200,000 in the most investible startup team from sTARTUp Day 2023 deal flow. EstBAN syndicates have invested €3.6M into startup companies during the past few years. Cocoon Ventures will award one startup with a syndicate investment of up to €100.000. The prize fund also includes €10.000 equity-free cash from Swedbank, and other prizes.
