Finnish influencer marketing startup Boksi acquires Monochrome

The Helsinki-based company Boksi, that provides influencer marketing platform, has announced the acquisition of Finnish creative influencer agency Monochrome for an undisclosed amount. The deal will allow Boksi to expand its management services.

  • Boksi was founded in 2018 with the aim to connect social media influencers and brands through its online platform, enabling brands to order images, videos, and influencer marketing directly from social media influencers. The platform also analyses posts of micro-influencers on Instagram and maps the behavior and preferences of their followers.
  • Boksi’s platform is already used by more than 400 brands, such as Fazer, Luhta Sportswear company, and Biozell. The startup currently employs 40 employees, and works in Finland, Sweden, Germany, the US, Denmark, and Croatia.
  • Launched in 2016, Monochrome is a creative influencer marketing agency based in Finland. The company specializes in finding creative solutions in social media channels for influencers: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, blogs, and podcasts.
  • With the acquisition, Boksi plans to expand its services and also add tailored customer and influencer campaigns as a new service alongside its platform.

“Together with Boksi, we want to offer both brands and influencers even more interesting collaborations and effective campaigns. Boksi has driven the industry forward with their technology. Now, Monochrome’s team brings in their expertise in working with larger influencers. Together we can build both the service offering and the technology on an international scale and serve even better the entire influencer community, from micro-influencers to professionals with large numbers of followers,”

Emma Naumanen, CEO of Monochrome, said.
  • Monochrome will continue to operate under its current name as part of Boksi.
