Austrian Round2 Capital invests in German crowdtesting provider Testbirds

The Vienna-based Round2 Capital announced that it has invested a 7-figure amount of funding in Testbirds, that provides crowdtesting services for users. With the fresh investment, Testbirds aims to expand its customer base and to provide better services.

  • Round2 Capital, a fast-growing European investment firm with €125 million under management. The fund was founded in 2017 and focuses on Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the Nordic countries. To date, Round2 Capital has invested in more than 29 different companies across 8 European jurisdictions.
  • Round2 Capital is backed by the European Investment Fund (EIF). In November 2022, it has announced the first close of its second €100 million fund with €62 million. 
  • The Munich-based Testbirds was launched in 2011 by Philipp Benkler, Georg Hansbauer, and Markus Steinhauser. Testbirds helps clients create digital products: apps, websites, IoT applications. Today, the company has over 100 employees, 1,000,000 real users, and works with almost 250 clients worldwide.
