Estonian VC Superangel invests in Coalescent Mobile Robotics

Danish Coalescent Mobile Robotics, a provider of autonomous mobile robots for the retail industry, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding round. The investment was co-led by SuperAngel and EIFO.

  • Coalescent Mobile Robotics was founded in 2018 by Clionadh Martin. It develops and sells autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to help retailers with their in-store transportation needs such as order fulfillment, restocking garbage collection. The robots navigate safely and autonomously in the aisles of the store and alongside people to help cut down on the time spent walking by the associates.
  • The round was co-led by:
    • Estonian SuperAngel.Fund, an early stage fund that invests in consumer (CPG, ecommerce SaaS), prop tech & future of work in the Baltics and Nordics. Among its recent investment is €3 million round for Finnish Doublepoint.
    • EIFO, the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark, the national promotional bank and export credit agency of Denmark combined in one financial institution that provides an investment for Danish companies.

“We are very excited to be making our first deal in Denmark, given our focus on the Nordics and deeptech. We were impressed by seeing the Coalescent Mobile Robotics in action in the Bilka store, how friendly and welcoming both the clients and Bilka employees were towards them and how intuitive and comprehensive the fleet management software is,”

SuperAngel Venture Partner Kart Siilats said.
  • The funding will be used to launch its next generation of AMRs and to scale in UK, France, along with other European markets.
