Lithuanian startup Walk15 raises €500k in a new round

Vilnius-based wellness tech startup Walk15 has raised €500,000 in a new funding round from Mantas Mikuckas, co-founder of Vinted. The company’s valuation has reached €15 million this year thanks to the funding.

  • Founded in July 2019 by Vlada Musvydaitė-Vilčiauskė. Current Co-founders are Vlada Musvydaite-Vilciauske, Oleg Zheleznyi, and Vytautas Višinskis. Walk15 develops a sustainable walking platform and the #walk15 app that offers smart steps challenges & rewards solutions for companies. Currently, the app has over 600,000 users, and more than 1,300 companies use the Walk15 platform to engage in step challenges.

  • The app recently underwent updates with a new design and features, and Walk15 plans to introduce challenges not only for steps but also for cycling and other activities compatible with smart devices.

  • In 2022, Walk15 managed to secure three rounds of funding. The latest one was in December 2022, almost a year ago, when the company secured €200,000 from EIT Urban Mobility, which was the first foreign capital attracted by the team.
  • The fresh funding will enable Walk15 to expand internationally and collaborate with partners such as EuroLeague, ERGO, IKI, Penny, etc. The primary focus of Walk15 is on expansion in Germany, and they seek investments for this purpose.
