Latvian Flirtu, the online dating company, raises €200k from Expansion Capital

Riga-based Flirtu, the company that provides an online dating platform, has raised an investment of €200,000 led by local Expansion Capital. It will use the funds to enter new markets and enhance its product.

• Founded in 2022, Flirtu develops an online platform that integrates dating into daily social media activities through platforms such as Messenger and Telegram, providing a more consistent, safe and engaging experience. Currently, the startup has over 3.5 million users from Western Europe, Asia and Latin America.

• Latvian Expansion Capital AIFP was the leading investor. The fund is looking for investments from €150,000 to €3 million in Latvian companies with the fund’s participation in the capital from 10% to 49%. Ex[ansion Capital supports projects and companies that are export-oriented, don’t depend on domestic consumption, and in which high growth potential.
• Flirtu will use the funds to enter new markets and enhance its product, in line with its mission to offer superior online dating experiences.
