Poland’s fund AVIVO Capital announces three investments worth €5.5M

Warsaw and Palo Alto-based venture capital fund AVIVO Capital has announced three closed investments worth a total of €5.5 million half a year after starting its operations. German startup GRID eSports is one of its new portfolio companies, MamStartup reports.

  • AVIVO Capital is an investment fund specializing in supporting technological startups with a global reach. The fund was created by Marcin Borowiecki, founder of Finamo and Wonga, Mariusz Książek, founder of Marvipol and stock exchange investor, and Tomasz Danis, a previous partner at MCI Capital.
  • The first three investments were made in Poland, Germany, and the USA. They represent different technological areas: SaaS, deep-tech data infrastructure, and hardware.

“The first of our new investments that we want to boast about is GRID eSports, a startup in the area of data processing for computer games. GRID creates a new category and a new standard in the digital world for game studios, players, and the entire e-sports community. We are delighted with both the scale and effectiveness of the GRID eSports team in building a leading position [on the market], and recent multi-year agreements with Riot Games and Ubisoft only confirm this,”

Tomasz Danis, Managing Partner of AVIVO Capital, commented.

In regards to future plans, AVIVO Capital continues its mission to expand its investment portfolio by identifying and supporting innovative technological ventures with global potential.
