The EU-backed Seeds of Bravery allocates €20M to support Ukrainian tech startups

The European Union will allocate €20 million through the “Seeds of Bravery” (UASEEDs) project to strengthen deep tech startups in Ukraine. Participants will be able to cash up €10,000.

  • About 200 projects will receive €12 million in grant funding. Applications will be accepted across 5 types of support, with the possibility of receiving up to €60,000 in total:
    • Innovation Services — up to €10,000;
    • Entrepreneurship — up to €25,000;
    • Deep Tech Incubation — up to €25,000;
    • Rebuilding Ukraine — up to €25,000;
    • Deep Tech Scale-Up — up to €50,000.

The Seeds of Bravery project was initially announced in May 2023. The current application deadline is February 20, 2024. Startups can apply here.

  • The program aims to strengthen Ukrainian innovation environment. The rest of funding costs will be used to train entrepreneurs, promote projects, and facilitate access to international markets, as well as integrate the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem into the European network. In addition, the program will support at least 20% of startups led or co-led by women.
  • The European Union is funding 200 deep tech startups in Ukraine through the “Seeds of Bravery” project, with €20 million allocated to strengthen the innovation environment. The project, coordinated by FundingBox, aims to train entrepreneurs, promote projects, and integrate the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem into the European networkYEP Accelerator.
