Finland’s IPR.VC launches €100M film and TV fund

IPR.VC, Helsinki-based fund management company has announced the first closing of its €100 million film and television production financing IPR.VC Fund III. The fund aims to support groundbreaking content creation in the entertainment industry.

  • Established in 2015, IPR.VC has already raised €150 million from institutional investors, pension funds, family offices, and the non-profit sector through three funds. More than half of the capital has already been allocated against film and TV projects in Europe and the U.S.
  • The company made investments in Nordic scripted projects including Netflix’s Bordertown. Currently, the company establishes strategic long-term slate-wide partnerships with US and European producers including A24 and XYZ Films and European animation studio Gigglebug. In total, IPR.VC financed 35 productions.
  • Via the deal, Andrea Scarso was appointed as Partner and Investment Director of IPR.VC. Scarso will be based in the firm’s London office.
