Production of fuel and feed pellets Bogdan-Agros

Villages of Derevnis and Zheled, Lviv region

The Bogdan-Agros farm breeds cows and provides Ukrainians with fresh and healthy milk. Bohdan Zeleny, the founder of the farm, came to the SEED project to launch a new business direction — the production of pellets for animal feed and heating.

A rational attitude to waste and finding ways to use it rationally is the right step towards creating a sustainable company. Bohdan-Agros cultivates about 20 hectares of land, which is used for the cultivation of grain and pasture. Waste from farm operating is straw. It is the cheapest type of fuel currently relevant for Ukrainians, and its pellets can also serve as nutritious feed for livestock.

Bohdan has ambitious plans.

«This will be the first such production on the territory of our and neighboring communities. Our strategic goals are to become one of the main producers of fuel and feed pellets in the Lviv and Chervonohrad districts of the Lviv region, with a production capacity of 500 tons of products per year during the first three years»

The farmer is convinced that his company will be able to fully supply the communities of Zhovkiv, Rava-Ruska, Velykomostivka, and Kulikivka with products. And in order to produce such numerous pellets, Bohdan-Agros will purchase straw from the villagers from the surrounding communities, creating additional earning opportunities for them.
