Carpathian Startup Fest 2023 awards €22,000 to winners

During the Carpathian Startup Fest 2023 held in Rzeszów three companies were chosen as winners of the competition. The best startups, such as Pergamin, Flexee, and Vaqat, left with prizes from the pool of €22,000 (PLN 100,000), MamStartup reports.

• The Carpathian Startup Fest 2023 is the third edition of the startup event that was held in Rzeszów during June 15-16. The event promotes entrepreneurship and technology, connecting startups, investors, corporate partners, media, and founders. Rzeszow Regional Development Agency, Podkarpackie Science and Technology Park “Aeropolis”, and others are the partners of the festival.
• Out of 293 companies that applied for the competition, 20 finalists were chosen for three categories, including: Idea Challenge, Startup, and Scaleup categories. The winners of the startup category received the most prize money from the €22,000 prize pool.

Startup category

• I place: Pergamin (received about €9,000).
• II place: Flexee (about €4,500).
• III place: Vaqat.

Idea Challenge category

• I place: SensoryDent.
• II place: Innowacyjny pomiar zawartości tłuszczu śródmięśniowego w mięsie wieprzowym.
• III place: Supercluster.

Scaleup category

• I place: Plantalux.
• II place: Medidesk.
• III place: Farada Group Sp. z o. o.

Furthermore, a wild card for the seventh edition of Sebastian Kulczyk’s InCredibles mentoring program went to a startup that created Pogaduszki, a speech therapy app for children.
