Finnish e-comerce SaaShop raises €1.2M in a seed round

Espoo-based subscription software marketplace SaaShop has raised €1.2 million in a seed investment round. Business Finland is one of the investors, along with current owners and board members.

  • Founded in Espoo, Finland in 2018, SaaShop is a global marketplace for subscription software that allows companies to buy all of their subscription software in one place, with one invoice, and one point of contact for support and customer service. The marketplace offers many from Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Pipedrive, ActiveCampaign, Dropbox, Asana, Freshdesk, and many others.

  • Led by Tapio Talvisalo, Kaj Seeste and Greg Milliken, SaaShop has over 2,500 customers consisting primarily of small and medium-size businesses, but also larger organizations, such as Inderes Oyj, a content service aimed at investors. In 2021, the company opened its second office in Austin, Texas.

  • Business Finland joined in the round as one of the previous investors in the company. SaaShop’s current owners and board members also participated in the round, including angel investor Jorma Heinonen, who was assigned new chairman of the board.
  • The company plans to use the fresh funds to accelerate its growth in both the European and North American markets.
