Lithuanian AI startup Repsense secures €800k in funding

Vilnius-based AI startup Repsense has secured €800,000 in fresh funding. The round was led by existing investors Iron Wolf Capital, Coinvest Capital, and several angel investors who were joined by Baltic Sandbox Ventures.

  • Founded in 2021 by Mykolas Katkus and Alfredas Chmieliauskas, Repsense aspires to create a global platform for public information analysis. The company’s “Adler model” offers swift, high-quality text analysis with applications in business, public organizations, and state security. It plays a vital role in countering hostile propaganda and fake news.
  • The solution imitates the user journey and predicts the reactions to the content found on the search results page. Repsense Index helps clients to quickly assess their reputation and compare with competitors across different geographies and user intents.

“At Baltic Sandbox Ventures, we nurture early-stage ideas through incubation and acceleration programs, focusing on companies developing new “deep tech” concepts. We were impressed by the Repsense team’s expertise and the models they’ve developed, and we believe such solutions have a promising niche in the market,”

Audrius Milinavičius, Partner at Baltic Sandbox Ventures, commented.
  • The current investment is part of the pre-seed extension investment agreement, where Iron Wolf Capital reaffirmed its commitment, while Coinvest Capital and private angel investors joined as the existing investors. Baltic Sandbox Ventures also participated in the round.
  • In January 2023, Repsense secured its first €500,000 in funding to develop its product and expand internationally. Iron Wolf Capital and Coinvest Capital were the lead investors in the pre-seed round.
