Romanian medtech Rayscape raises $500k in fresh investment

Rayscape, a Timisoara-based provider of a digital assistant for radiologists, has raised an investment of $500,000 via Rubik Garage Accelerator from Fortech Investments. The startup will use it for the expansion to the USA.

  • Rayscape was co-founded in 2018 by Andrei TenescuBogdan BerceanCristian Avramescu, and Stefan Iarca. It develops a complex digital assistant that uses artificial intelligence algorithms to assist radiologists in analyzing medical images such as chest X-rays or lung CT scans.
  • According to the startup’s team, this technology helps doctors to become more accurate and faster in imaging analysis.

  • During the last Demo Day in Austin, Texas, Rayscape won of the Rubik Garage Accelerator cohort, Scale to USA edition. The company received the investment from Fortech Investments, an investment fund and long-term strategic partner for early-stage startups in energy, healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, and fintech.

Rayscape will use the fresh capital to fund its expansion to the United States market.
