Fortnite players raise $36M for humanitarian aid to Ukraine

On March 20, the American video game developer Epic Games announced that it would donate all profits from the new season of Fortnite to people affected by the war in Ukraine. In just one day, the company managed to raise $36 million.

  • Fundraising will last until April 3. It consists of all in-game real money purchases. These are V-Bucks, Fortnite Crew subscriptions, gift battle passes, and cosmetics.
  • The company will donate to organizations that provide people with medical care, food, water, legal advice, and housing. UNICEF, Direct Relief, UN World Food Program, and The UN Refugee Agency are among them.
