Polish legaltech startup Pergamin receives $1.2M

The Warsaw-based legaltech startup Pergamin has received $1.2 million in seed capital. The investment round will help to further develop the startup’s platform to better deal with legal complexities, Tech.eu writes.

  • Founded in 2017 by Jakub Barwaniec, Piotr Łuczak, and Antoni Wędzikowski, Pergamin develops a platform for the convenient and secure drafting, negotiating, signing, and managing of contracts and other legal documents.
  • The company has received funding at the investment pitch, presided by Sunfish Partners, and assisted by Polish governmental fund DFRI and FundingBox. Sunfish Partners is a German early-stage venture capital firm. In April 2022, it invested in another Polish startup — Alphamoon.
  • So far, Pergamin supports over 350 clients, including Volvo Trucks and Cushman & Wakefield. The platform counts more than 35,000 registered users, accounting for more than 80,000 contracts signed.
  • Using the fresh funds, the startup is underway developing the next iteration of its service offer. It will be designed to handle more complex multi-party contracts and other legal documents.
