Austrian hospitality-tech startup Crqlar raises €500k in a pre-seed funding

Tyrolean startup Crqlar has announced the raising over €500,000 from several angels and Italian Bocconi 4 Innovation accelerator program. Crqlar aims to improve the platform for hotel industry and expand its market.

  • Founded in February 2022 by Angel Ferrufino, Dejan Keri, and Fabian Rauch, Crqlar provides business intelligence solution for hotels. Its technology creates guest profiles by intelligently aggregating and cleansing existing data using AI. This enables to make precise predictions, boost revenue, and significantly reduce the workload through using sophisticated machine-learning techniques.

Our vision is to harness the wealth of guest data that hotels possess. Often scattered across multiple software tools, we bring these invaluable insights together in our B2B SaaS platform. By providing a clear, comprehensive guest profile, we simplify the way hoteliers work with data.

Crqlar’s team commented.
  • Since launching, Crqlar acquired hotels such as Forsthofgut 5*, Grandhotel Lienz 5* and Post Lech 5*. The startup claims its solution will help hoteliers to increase revenues and save up to 80% admin time for their staff members.
  • The pre-seed round was co-led by business angels such as Gregor Hoch (former president of Austrian Hotel Association) and Rudolf Flunger, joined by Italian Bocconi 4 Innovation accelerator program, an initiative of Bocconi University with the aim of promoting entrepreneurial culture, encouraging and supporting innovative startups.
  • The fresh funding will be spent to further improve its platform with AI capabilities, and expand the market into Austria, Germany, and Italy.
