Finnish SaaS startup Videobot secures €2M in a seed round

Turku-based SaaS startup Videobot has secured €2 million in a seed funding round set to revolutionize online customer experience with interactive video chatbots. Superhero Capital, Expon Capital Digital Tech Fund, and angels Urban Gillstrom and Ari Korhonen participated in the round.

  • Videobot develops technology to transform the landscape of online customer engagement by merging chatbots with personalized, interactive videos. According to the company, its clients have witnessed a 98% increase in engagement, 150% more time spent on the website, and a 36% increase in overall sales lead volume. 
  • Since its launch in autumn 2022, it has secured significant clients, including game giant Supercell, one of Finland’s largest media company’s event organizations, and Moi Mobiili. So far, Videobot has over 200 diverse customers in 15 countries, mainly from Europe and the US.

  • Superhero Capital is one of the company’s main backers. It is a Finland-based seed stage-focused VC investing in insight-driven startups from Finland and the Baltics. Recently, the firm invested in another Finnish startup Lygg.
  • Luxembourg-based Expon Capital Digital Tech Fund also participated in the round, along with angel investors Urban Gillstrom from Sweden and Ari Korhonen from Finland.
  • Videobot will use the fresh capital to accelerate its growth, especially in Europe and the US markets. the company has plans to secure 1,000 customers and annual billing of €3 million by the end of 2024.
