Czech AI startup Born Digital secures €2M

Born Digital, Prague-based All-In-One platform enhancing customer experience, has secured €2 million round from Seed Starter of Česká spořitelna, the Erste Group, and J&T Ventures. According to The Recursive, this investment will support its expansion.

  • Founded in 2019 by Tomas Malovec and Zenon SliwkaBorn Digital provides an AI omni‑channel platform that helps companies transform and revolutionize their contact centers. With a team of 45 people, the startup has built digital personas for the state administration, healthcare, and the police of the Czech Republic, but also banks, insurance companies, travel agencies, petrol stations, e-shops, and shopping centers.
  • Currently, Born Digital has more than 100 B2B clients in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary. The startup also claims its virtual assistants have already processed more than 9,500,000 interactions.

The digital persona is not meant to replace humans, but it is here to relieve them of manual and repetitive tasks with low added value while keeping the human touch for the users. This opens a tremendous amount of potential use cases in various fields.”

  • The fresh investment was backed by Seed Starter of Česká spořitelna, the biggest Czech bank measured by the number of clients, Erste Group, Vienna-based financial institute. J&T Ventures, an early-stage Prague-based VC fund, which invests in startups from the CEE and SEE region, also joined the round.
  • Born Digital will spend the costs to furhter expansion its platform outside of the region. In addition the startup plans to raise a Series A within the next 18 months.
