Estonian home rental Rendin secures nearly €2M from Tera Ventures and SWG

Rendin, a Tallinn-based home rental ecosystem startup, has secured nearly €2 million led by Tera Ventures. The investment will help to prepare for the A-round raising and expansion in both current and new markets starting in April.

  • The startup was founded in 2019 by Alain Aun and Maiko Saluorg. Rendin aims to connects and protects landlords and tenants, saving everybody’s time and money by combining technology, insurance, real estate agency, and law firms. Currently, the team consists of 20 people with the company being active in the Estonian and Polish markets.
  • In total, Rendin has raised €4.2 million in investments since the end of 2020. Previous investors include Iron Wolf Capital, Truesight Ventures, Zaka VC, and several other funds and angel investors. Up to 600 rental contracts are signed on its platform every month.

Involving customers in the investment is the only right choice. Landlords who use us have always asked how they can be a part of our success story. Thanks to Startup Wise Guys, we found such an opportunity, and landlords are still welcome to join during March if they wish,

Alain Aun, CEO and co-founder of Rendin, comments.
  • The lead investor of the transaction is Tera Ventures, a Tallinn, Helsinki, and LA-based venture capital firm, investing in founders from the Baltics, Scandinavia, and CEE. Nearly a hundred Rendin landlords also participated in the investment through the Startup Wise Guys fund.

With the fresh investment, Rendin plans to become a pan-European platform for safe renting. The company is also preparing to involve additional investments in the near future to expand to the following markets and secure its market position in Estonia and Poland.
